Q&A: Can I use a different import for mass effect 3 once I finish it?

Effectively once I finish mass effect 3 can I use a various import from mass impact two to begin more than the storyline?
I want to get the a different import from mass effect 2 simply because the one import im at present using has wrex dead in it and I want him alive simply because he is cool but I also want all the upgrades from playing ME3
